The Harassment Management Group (HMG) considers disclosures or reports concerning alleged student-related misconduct (including alumni)- which may involve a risk or threat of serious harm to the reporting person, another member of the LSE community or serious disruption to the reporting person, the LSE community or School activities.
HMG assess the risks arising from the disclosure or report and identifies whether any precautionary measures are necessary to be implemented pending the outcome of LSE disciplinary action or criminal proceedings.
Precautionary measures can include action such as:
- Temporary exclusion from areas/facilities of the School including Hall of Residences
- Temporary suspension from studies or a requirement for online learning
- Temporary suspension from attendance at School events and/or activities including alumni events and activities
- Temporary restrictive conditions such as a no contact requirement (reporting party, witnesses, other relevant parties), a requirement to move to alternative temporary accommodation, limited access to School property or premises
Anyone unsure whether a case should be referred to HMG, may seek confidential advice from a member of the Group.
In cases of alleged staff misconduct, existing HR process and policies shall be used to determine how any further investigation, or precautionary procedure shall progress.
